How will a VoiceOne Centrex IP phone call differ from how voice calls are made and received now?
There is no difference to the end user. The main desktop end-user device will be the new IP Phone. The phone is plugged into the enterprise's Local Area Network via an Ethernet port and voice calling is as familiar and simple as it has always been.

With VoiceOne NexGen Centrex, does the end user need to have two IP addresses, one for voice and one for data?
Today, VoiceOne NexGen Centrex subscribers require a new and unique IP address. Most already have an IP address for their PC. Centrex IP end points require an IP address to send and receive packets of voice.

What does it mean to have a managed IP network, and how do I acquire one?
A managed IP network provides the quality of service (QoS) acceptable to VoiceOne NexGen Centrex user and allows the service provider to monitor and manage the QoS outside the enterprise environment. A managed IP network assures voice traffic has priority to reduce latency, minimizes the network nodes that must touch or interrogate an IP packet, and provides sufficient bandwidth to handle busy hour traffic. A managed IP network is more than "best effort" engineering, it provides guaranteed service levels in accordance with the Centrex IP users QoS expectations.

What is VoiceOne NexGen Trunking?
VoiceOne NexGen Trunking allows clients to have a smooth migration from traditional Analog PBX systems to a hosted Full IP PBX communication technology and delivers IP-based Telephony solutions. This solution connects customer premises PBX or IP-PBX to the VoiceOne's VoIP network. This fits when subscribers prefer to keep their existing PBX/IP PBX System and maximize its full-blown functionalities; and when there is a scale-up due to increasing business demand and a need to add lines as back up.

What is the importance of VoiceOne NexGen Trunking
NexGen Trunking allows Small or Medium-sized companies to economically and easily migrate their PBX systems into an IP Telephony set-up without immediately abandoning the investments incurred from purchasing PBX systems and Key Telephone Systems. What is class IV VoiceOne Trunking subscribers?
Class IV VoiceOne NexGen Trunking Subscribers are fully managed and controlled by the PBX equipment. All the phones and numbering system are controlled by their IP PBX that means VoiceOne will not provision a number. This is the Option 2 as shown in the NexGen Trunking diagram above.

What is class V VoiceOne NexGen Trunking subscribers?
Class V VoiceOne IP Trunking is shown in Option 1 in the NexGen Trunking diagram where it shows an IP PBX with SIP trunking going to VoiceOne softswitch. All phones are configured with DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number, thus they can receive and make calls directly.
The difference between both types of VoiceOne NexGen Trunking Subscribers is in the processing of incoming call from the VoIP network to the Subscriber line. For class V VoiceOne NexGen Trunking Subscribers, such calls can benefit from the call redirection features implemented in the SPE module and applicable to incoming calls1: call redirections.
Class V VoiceOne NexGen Trunking Subscribers can also benefit from the Self-Care web portal or voice portal to configure and activate their call redirections.
